Getting Ready for Another Week

Okay - we have completed another wild week at the Jackson house. Shelley had tryouts for Grand Strand Juniors on Monday and Saturday of this week. She is excited about the prospect of playing travel volleyball and honing (did I spell that right) her skills. Katheryn had a sleepover for her birthday party (remember - it was on Sunday) so I had 3 of her friends spend the night with her on Friday night. A couple of her friends, Zoe and Moriah came but couldn't not spend stay over. I left them up at 11:30 and they were up at 7:30. They are a good group of kids and will definitely have them over again. (PICS are here)!!
On Saturday, I got to spend some quality time with my friend Shea and go to a jewelry party. That was very nice! Shea, thanks for inviting me, I really enjoyed it and I am can't wait to wear my new cross earrings.
We had a wonderful Sunday at church and alot of emphasis being put on what we are thankful for. Don't forget, Thursday is Thanksgiving and we need to ALL being thankful for the many blessings God has given us. I am so thankful for my Christian home, my family, my friends and my church family. They are so supportive us and we are so blessed to be a part of a wonderful church family. We will be spending lunch on Thanksgiving at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Roberts gang and supper at Litchfield with the Jackson clan. Can't wait to see Finn and how much he has grown and see Grey of course. With Katheryn, Grey, and Finn - it will definitely be exciting. We will probably put up Christmas over the weekend.
The Hewett's (Kevin, Shea, Kyle, and Jamie) came over for Sunday dinner and we had a MEXICAN feast with Enchiladas, Spanish Rice, Beans, and Chips and Salsa. It wasn't El Cerro but if I must say so myself, it was mighty good!!! Thanks for coming guys and we enjoyed it!

To all our friends near and far, have a wonderful THANKSGIVING!!!

Home at last

We are finally home. We have called all the parents and told them we made it. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed visiting another church, North Wake Baptist Church. It was nice to fellowship and enjoy the music and not have to worry about playing. In other words, it was nice to have a break. But their services started at 9:00am - which is an hour earlier than ours but they have two services and two Sunday Schools. Shelley enjoyed going into the class with Dale and she actually got up and spoke a little. Katheryn enjoyed going to SS with Chloe and that left Maurice and I to go to our class. It was entitled a "Gospel Centered Family" and the topic for today what God has to say about divorce. We then enjoyed a very nice dinner at their house and enjoyed a dessert of Jill's now famous - HOMEMADE MILKSHAKES!!!
We definitely miss them a lot but it was great to see them. The kids have grown and Caleb is walking - he is so cute. He has captured Shelley (watch out Collin! and Katheryn's heart for sure. They are all going to be heartbreakers when they get older. Dale and Jill better beware!
I am going to try and upload some pics that Jill took during our visit. We hope you enjoy!!

The Beginning

WOW! I can't believe I am doing this - I hope I can keep it up. Some friend's of ours (Dale and Jill - you are AWESOME dudes) have one and this is where I got the idea from. We can keep our friends that live far away up to date with the things that we are doing in our very hectic lives. Well, here is a little about ourselves...
My name is Cindy and I have been married for 18 years to a WONDERFUL man, Maurice. We have two beautiful daughters. Shelley is 14 and a freshman at Conway High (TIGERS ROCK!!). Katheryn is 9 and in third grade at Pee Dee Elementary. We attend Juniper Bay Baptist Church and believe that there is one and only one God. The Bible is HIS word and is a guide for all Christians.
We hope you enjoy this and more will be added later.
